PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter at right tackle.
Positives: Tough, efficient college tackle who is best in confined quarters. Strong at the point, stays square and keeps defenders from the action. Works to bend his knees, sets with a wide base and has better than average footwork sliding out in pass protection. Displays quickness in his game and flashes the ability to get out to the second level and block in motion. More athletic than his size/speed numbers would lend one to believe. Negatives: Displays stiffness in his game and struggles adjusting to defenders. Must do a better job extending his hands into defenders, as he tends to lean on opponents. Analysis: Brooks is a serviceable prospect with the experience, size and intelligence to be a backup at guard in the NFL. Projection: FA |
