Roger Federer's seventh Wimbledon championship and 17th Grand Slam singles title was notable for many historic reasons. It also provided us with one of the great betting stories of recent memory. Nine years ago, a man from Great Britain bet 1,520 pounds ($2,361.96) at 66-1 odds that Federer would win Wimbledon at least seven times. The man who placed the wager passed away in 2009. However, the ticket was still cashed yesterday by a charity organization for $157,749.85.
Running For Their Lives
If you want to see a bunch of Major League baseball players (and umpires) get the bejesus scared out of them by some insane thunder, check out this video from last night's Twins-Rangers game in Texas. Pay close attention to Minnesota's Josh Willingham, who was on first base and actually went down to the ground in fright.
MLB Giveth And MLB Taketh
It felt like history was made in Cleveland on Saturday night because a manager (Manny Acta) actually argued a call and got it overturned. However, the positive feelings generated from that milestone event were quickly tarnished when it became known that Major League Baseball scolded the Red Sox on Sunday because the Fenway Park videoboard replayed a controversial call from the previous day's game. God, forbid, you don't protect the inept umpires.

Brazilian model Raica Oliveira hasn't been in Hot Clicks for a while, but that changes today thanks to this new gallery.
Philly Style
Two notable items from Philadelphia this past weekend: First, Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon made a nice save on a fan who tried to jump into the bullpen on Saturday night. (Take note of the Braves' relievers looking on with big smiles on their faces.) Second, in that same game, outfielder Hunter Pence steamrolled third base coach Juan Samuel on his way to home plate.
Sports Video Of The Day
This is very scary video of a Russian reporter getting hit by a drifting car. Fortunately, he only suffered a concussion.

Humping Dogs Video Of The Day
After five-plus years writing Hot Clicks, it takes a lot to make me speechless. The 2012 Humpy Awards left me speechless.
